The Seattle Seahawks engineered a stunning fightback to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in overtime, clinching their place in the postseason.

Overcoming a 30-14 deficit in the fourth quarter, the Seattle squad emerged victorious by a single point at home, registering their fifth straight win.

While the Los Angeles had already secured a post-season berth earlier on Sunday, the Seahawks booked their return to the play-offs after a 24-month absence.

With this result, the Seahawks have taken over their division's standings with a twelve and three mark, replacing the Rams, who dropped to the number five playoff position with an 11-4 standing.

Signal-caller Darnold threw two interceptions but recovered to deliver two touchdown passes, including the tying TD to star receiver Smith-Njigba in overtime.

The Rams held a 13-7 lead at half-time before Walker burst through for a long scoring dash for the home side.

Rams cornerback Josh Wallace then took back Darnold's initial pick for a big return, setting up a short score by Corum on the next play.

In the final stanza, a scoring pass from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua extended the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Rashid Shaheed ignited the hope with a 58-yard punt return.

Darnold then found Barner in the endzone, and a converted two-point play forced the contest into an extra period.

Although Nacua scored for his another touchdown in overtime, Jaxon Smith-Njigba answered in kind to setup the game-winning score.
